Once you complete your free registration, we recommend that you assign a profession to your profile, so that we can place you correctly in the lists of preferred partners and for others to find project partners. Simply:
- Go to your account area, located at the top right of the header.
- Click on "Favorite Job" and select the one you want from the 4 possible choices (creation, translation, copyediting, lettering).
- That's it! You're now in the directory that's right for you highlighted in its own dedicated color. You can change your Favorite Job at any time.
- Your partner list is accessible from the main account page.
- To add someone to your list, you have two options:
a. Enter their address. If this person is registered with ZOON, their profile will pop up for you to select.
b. If you're already part of a team, you can see all the members involved displayed on the left. Click on the "star" sign to them, and the partner will be added to your list of favorites. - You can also remove a partner from your favorites list by clicking on the small "-" sign on the right, then confirming your choice.
- To delete a series or chapter, simply click.
- Please note that in ZOON, you can only delete series or chapters from your personal view. If you're part of a group, other members can still access them, and will have to delete the files on their account if necessary. This way, no one can delete any of your work without your consent.
ZOON reproduces the editorial production chain. In other words, ZOON materializes the sequential steps involving the various tasks until you have finalized files. If you create a project, you'll need to invite one person for translation, one for proofreading, and one for lettering (unless someone is in charge of multiple steps). The person creating the project can assign one of these tasks to themselves (depending on their subscription).
This chain begins with translation, and only the person selected for this task (who is subscribed to ZOON Linguist or ZOON Duo) can open the project. Once this stage is completed and validated, the work moves to editing: the person selected for this task (who is subscribed to ZOON Linguist or ZOON Duo) will be the only one able to work at this stage. At the end of editing, they will make a choice:
a. return the project to translation or
b. validate and send to lettering.
The person in charge of copyediting may decide to send the project back to translation for various reasons (forgotten sections, outstanding questions, passages needed to be reworked or completed, etc.), in which case the person in charge of translation is granted access to the project again, the edits and questions highlighted to make their life easier. The translation must be validated once again, followed by the copyediting stage, before the project can move to lettering.
If the project moves to the lettering stage, the person selected for this task (who has subscribed to ZOON Letterer or Duo) can open the file, and no one else. After lettering, there's a copyediting stage again, which determines whether certain lettering elements need to be reworked, or whether the lettering can be validated and files finalized.
The creator of the project has additional rights for the project. They can:
- remove and replace a guest;
- unblock a stage by returning to the previous one or moving on to the next.
ZOON constantly backs up your actions. The data is stored on private, secure servers. As long as you have an online connection, you have access to all of your work and files, with no risk of loss.
If you're a company (publishing house, studio, etc.) and you want to pay for subscriptions for your employees or creative partners, you can do so starting with a minimum order of 10 subscriptions. Simply:

- Choose your Company option, the quantity and type of subscriptions you want, then select your method of payment.
- Once your payment has been accepted, you'll be taken to a page that lets you send or revoke subscriptions to the partners of your choice, via their e-mail address (first they will need to register for free on the platform).
- You can view all the projects created by these partners for the duration of the subscriptions you have given to them.
- You can revoke any of your subscriptions at any time. A person whose subscription has been revoked will still be able to view their projects, but will not be able to modify them.
